Every time i join a party in xbox app it crashes/closes client.

Since the latest win10 build update OR beta/normal xbox app update - anytime i click to join a friends party the xbox app will instantly close without any error. Weird thing is i can make a party and people can join it no problem at all. The only issue comes
in when i try to click to join someone else's party. This happens exactly the same on the beta app as well as the normal app. I have uninstalled both and reinstalled them and same thing happens.

You can uninstall the normal one via powershell commands which i used and rebooted before reinstalling - nothing seems to eliminate this issue -

Xbox app Closes by itself, No error message.

I have tried testing out everything you have mentioned at it seemed to work for a while, until i noticed that it started to close/crash every time someone new joined a party i was in. I have tested it out with friends and when someone
joins the party who hasn't been in the current party session, my Xbox app closes down.

 

HUGE Probmlem On The Xbox on Windows 10 Party Chat

I too am not able to join or start a party on my Windows 10 Xbox App. Every time I click to join or start a party, the Xbox App crashes and goes back to my desktop home screen.

 

I have this exact problem. It is driving me insane. Did everything you did as well.

 

Sorry to hear you are having this issue. It would be a great help if you could reproduce this again using the Xbox app beta then re-launch the beta app after the crash and select the "Feedback-->Report a problem" option. This may help us better understand
what is causing the crash. Thank you!

 

I'm also having the same issue, However It won't let me re-install the app via Store. It's something that definitely needs to be fixed in the upcoming update.

 

After 10+Hrs... I found the issue!

1.) Right Click on your Desktop

2.) Display Settings

3.) At 'Change the size of text,apps, and other items:' slider change it to 100%

Note: If it's already set to 100% or doesn't work at 100%, try all other options it gives you on the slider.

Why this works: This was a DPI issue. Some applications have issues with the scaling and how it is displaying the content. I guess it didn't like the 125% scale that my monitor was displaying (1440p resolution / AMD R9 290 Graphics Card).
