Every time i change receiver inputs then back to x1 the tv watching freezes

If i change inputs from my receiver to watch a 3d bluray or use wndows 8.1pc to watch Netflix or use my 360 my x1 freezes and needs a hard reboot. its like it has a hard time talking to my cable box as it also flashes weirdly i am tired of this hard reboot

Hard reboot turns off tv

Its smart enough not to turn my tv off during hard reboot but when powering back on it turns tv off as soon as Kinect lights up. Weird part is that it doesn't also turn off my receiver like what happens during a normal power down who ever wants the tv
off for a hard reboot thing is my question. every time I change inputs from my receiver I need a hard reboot or my tv viewing freezes

Xbox one freezes tv after input switching

I know there are many threads on this topic, but I'm hoping a fix comes out. If I switch my A/V receiver to a different input while the X1 is still on and switch back after a period of time, the TV app freezes the video 2-5 seconds with no audio.

Now If I wanted to hook both the tv and xbox 360 to the receiver would I have to change the input on the receiver every time I wanted to use the other?

So, I have an Xbox One and the Pioneer VSX-1021 receiver. It works. It sounds great, but I think it's not going to be a good solution for really getting what I want out of the system. The problem is that with CEC turned on fully (HDMI control/synchronization
between devices) - that being tv turned on, receiver turned to on, xbox one on, the problem is that the receiver very aggressively changes the input to tv/sat. Well, there is no tv/sat input on the back of the receiver! So, you have to use another. I use DVR/BDR.
So, every time xbox one fires everything up, it switches to a useless input and there is no way to turn this off. The only workaround is to turn some CEC functions off and that becomes a pain as it just doesn't work right. The best workaround is to walk to
the receiver and MANUALLY change it back to the input you want. Doing that allows everything to work. This is therefore not a great receiver for xbox one owners. Not having the TV/SAT HDMI input was poor thinking.

I don't understand the griping. You either have to teach your wife/daughter/clueless-other to switch inputs on the TV and/or A/V Receiver every time they want to "just" watch TV, or you tell them to say "Xbox On", wait a few seconds, then "Xbox Watch TV"
(or use the requisite controller/remote to do it without voice).

For my setup, having the Xbox control the Cable Box, Receiver, and TV eliminates a bunch of confusing switching input steps and makes it EASIER for my wife to watch TV. And it works better than my Harmony all-in-one remote as well.

Same thing happened to me. I also noticed since X1 was connected through surround sound, Apple tv has no sound when i change inputs. I have to shut everything off and watch through tv speakers.
