Every single system update sits at 0%

So I posted a while back needing help cause my sytem update was taking hours upon hours to complete and the thing is, every single time they come out with an update for the xbox one I end up putting hours upon hours and now a day and a half into trying to
    update this thing.

So my question now is: do I send it in? Is there something wrong that cant be fixed and more importantly, will it cost me money? Cause ever since I bought this console every single update even the game installations, buying map packs, games, everything take
forever and freezes up. And I talk to some people and they've never had the problem before? I thought this kinda stuff would have been sorted out by now

    :)

    Advertisements cause game to crash

Today, 24 June, I can log into the game but when I try to load any of the daily challenges and the advertisement video starts to load, the screen goes black with the video progress bar at the bottom indicating the start at 0:00 and a finish of 0:00! It
just sits there and does nothing. This is also happening with Taptiles. This morning I had a system update applied to my Surface Pro 3. Is there a connection there? I don't know what the system upgrade was about, I just know that every time Microsoft does
one of those things, something breaks.

Hmm... this is indeed an annoying issue. I'm assuming your internet speed is such that it SHOULDN'T be taking that long, correct? If so, have you done a full power cycle (holding the power icon for 8-10 seconds, waiting for the power brick to turn orange,
then unplugging for 5-10 minutes before plugging back in and starting up)? This is the most common fix to most issues, however, I don't know for certain if it will fix slow download/install issues.

Try this - completely uninstall a game from your system (you won't lose your saves, don't worry.) Then do the power cycle described above, then try installing the game. If you've already done that, or if you do it this time, and it's STILL slow, my next
suggestion would be to perform a Factory Reset, which basically restores your console to square one, wipes the hard drive, and starts over. If there were any problems during initial setup which are leading to these repeated install errors, a factory reset
will give us the opportunity to see if things install properly now, or if it's a hardware issue that would need repairs.

IF you do need to send it in for repairs, the repair itself won't cost you because your system is still under the factory warranty. I'm not sure if Microsoft is supplying return shipping labels, but if not, the most you would have to pay is the shipping
to the repair center. The option which "sort of" costs money is the "Advanced Repair" option. In this method, you provide them with a credit card or bank card number, and they place a temporary hold on the amount of funds a NEW console would cost, and then
send you a new one in advance, instead of having to ship yours in and wait for it to come back. As soon as you receive the advance console and send yours back, when they receive it, the hold is removed from your card.

The one caveat with that, and the reason I say "sort of" costs money is because if you use a bank card which ties to your bank account, placing a hold on the funds essentially removes those funds from your available checking balance (making it a "pending
transfer"), which is essentially very much like spending $350 and then getting it refunded a couple of weeks later when they receive your console. So, be aware if you use that option, you need to have $350 in your checking, and more if you plan on, y'know,
buying stuff with money before the hold gets released.

Hope this helps! Let me know if the Factory Reset or hard boot do anything to help your issue!

I did a factory reset and it still wont update.

I guess I'll just have to send it in. Or maybe I should just sell it to gamestop and buy a ps4.... Really been thinking about which system I would enjoy more at this point and I mean games are better on this platform but if I can't even play them...

    Why is Marketplace is down?

Every single time there is an update it borks something on the system or knackers peoples machines, bloody ridiculous.
