So when you put a disc in, the disc is read, and then the game tile shows up with the disc icon showing on it? If not, then it is not reading the disc, which will be why the games won't work.

I've tried every disc game that I have and none work, but a blue ray movie will play straight away so I know the disc drive is working fine. It was working absolutely fine, updated the Xbox and now unable to play disc based games

Have you tried the games with the disc in the drive? When the disc goes in the drive, the triangle with the exclamation mark goes away, which will then let you play the game. Make sure the disc drive is working as well. If the drive isn't working then the triangle will stay, and you won't be able to play the disc based games, as the disc can't be read.

This symbol appears when you don't have the digital license for a game you have installed. However, it seems that the symbol is displayed in games for which we do have the digital licenses due to an error, as said by the volunteer moderator 'StuartATrueRed' in the following thread:

Since other players are experiencing the same issue, as you can see in the attached thread, and because it appears in all of your games but still allows you to play them without any problems, it is recommended to report this issue to Xbox using the instructions provided in the following link:

This way, Xbox engineers and technicians will investigate the reported problem and work on a solution as soon as possible.

Anyways, look for corrupt data on your harddrive or memory unit, doesnt matter what game it is if it has the yellow exclamation point in a circle or triangle delete it after that clear your cache and turn your xbox off and back on.
