I mean, it works after I do it, but it's annoying and I worry that it is something bigger coming. The system boots up, just won't launch any apps or games. Why?

Updates every single day!

Hi everyone,

for the past week or so every single night the Xbox has done an update, I would not mind but they are 600/700MB each time and it is eating up my memory like crazy.

I am in the preview programme but surely updates would not be this constant or size?

Any help much appreciated.

 

TIf you haven't try and change it from Instant on to Energy saving mode, that way each time you turn the xbox off it actually powers off.

But you shouldn't have to do that! MS need to acknowledge they've broken Instant On mode and fix it.

 

I have to do this too. It is really annoying. Nothing launches after startup on instant on and a hard reset is required EVERY time!

 

Have the same problem, hard reset doesn't even fix mine and I've turned off instant on. Frustrating to say the least!

 

New patch, same problem. Nothing heard about it. Sigh

 

Someone in one of the many other threads said they'd read somewhere MS were aware and were fixing it, can't say I've seen mention of it anywhere and if that was indeed the case, you'd think one of the mods or ambassadors or whatever they call themselves
would confirm it.
