Every game I have freezes and crashes.

Beginning to wonder if I'm having a hardware issue or if my problem is shared by others.

Every game I try to play will freeze and crash back to the home screen. Sometimes I can play the game continuously for a considerable amount of time and then out of nowhere it will freeze, and I've lost my progress (quite frustrating, really.) Other times,
I will click a game to play, start the load and get to the main menu, start the game from there and just as it is loading, the freeze happens again, and I'm back to the dashboard. When this happens a dozen times in half an hour and you literally can not play
any games, it brings me here, at wit's end, asking the community what I should do.

Can anyone give me some insight here?

Should mention this Xbox one S is refurbished with a sizable SSD and not that old (just a couple months.)

Usually something like this happens to some players but the game your playing is probably old or its big if you have a load of stuff in the game like saved files, items, and more there is a chance it will crash the game.

If you got the game on a disk maybe there is some kind of dust on it and if the game is on the market xbox, try to hard reset the xbox or clean the fan.

I don't think so. My game freezes after almost every match and when it does I take it as a sign that my console is about to crash. As of recently I have been closing out of the game when it freezes and it has prevent crashing a couple of times. Hope this
