Ever since I downloaded this update everything is slower

Ever since I got this update, everything is so much slower. It takes forever to sign in, sometimes I have to attempt it 2-3 times, I keep getting disconnected, game updates take forever to download. I tried to play nba 2k16 and have been waiting for it to
update for a day n a half already and it's still at 69%. I confirmed it's not my internet because my PC, phone, laptop all run internet related stuff fine. I've power cycled my console/internet about 3 times and it is not the issue. I've reset everything to
factory defaults and same thing. Any suggestions?

Unable to play games

Downloaded the update, and now it's 10x slower than ever, wordament is almost unplayable.

 

problem downloading

ever since I downloaded the 2017 spring update I cant download anything. the percentage downloaded plus the download jumps all over the place every time I check how much it is . I was trying to download the latest update for halo wars 2 and the update size
went from 7 GB to 1.5 to 2.3 to 29.6 in the span of an hour. is this a glitch or is something wrong with my Xbox one? before the spring update everything downloaded normally.

 

It may not be your internet but may be your router , is your router a "gateway: from your isp or is it your equipment , what model ?

 

the router came from my ISP, why does it matter though? and what would I need to do? the old UI everything was fine and fast since the new update.

 

post this on the "connecting to live" section and we'll troubleshoot it....im not sure why it matters but its been blowing up isp equipment for some reason....

 

blowing up as in makes it ineffective for xbox live specifically? weird... what else would I be able to TS though if that was the case?

 

I meant "blowing up " as in the the "connecting to xbox live" section has been getting thread after thread after thread of people with the same problem as you , in every single case they have isp issued "gateways" , people with their own equipment that
have gaming friendly routers (Netgear , Linksys and such) have remained unaffected ...

some have had luck if we change a few things in the router settings , reserve a dchp , port forward and some have simply fixed it by hard wiring it...
