    Even with a PayPal. I get "You have no valid payment options on file."


    It's pretty silly that you need to give MS payment information for a free game but it's not even working.

    I've tried removing and adding it. I've tried turning my xbox off and on.

    The website says I have gold yet when I try it on a PC I'm simply redirected to a Join Gold page. This is getting ridiculous.

    What else can I try?

    This actually fixed my problem. I was stuck in this weird loop of trying to add a payment option, but it would then error out. When I try to manage it, it would then default to a US-based profile site. Migrating my profile to the correct region "Canada-US"
    fixed the problem. I resolved this problem on my PC. Thanks to kavoos..this worked. So for anyone having problems, try doing it on the webiste and manage your payment option, and ensure that the page reflects your current location.

    it happened to me too. even with my gold membership and have an active credit ard on some games and buying avatar it was asking that I have no valid payment and asked me to add a payment but when I was trying to add my credit card info the region was fixed
    on United kingdom and I couldn't change it.

    the customer support was unable to fix the issue and I finally solve it by going to Sign in to your Microsoft account and update my region to USA and all my credit card information showed
    up .

    Chat with support no luck.

    They made me clear my bluray persisitant data and reset my alternate mac address settings and remove and add my profile.

    No success.

    Wait a bit for the webstore to catch up 1-2hours if you recently applied a code

    Keep in mind your payment option region and billing address must match your account region not just your console region

    So if you are flipping thru regions to access different content that won't work

    I had to wait 2 hours between adding the AMEX and the store recognising it.

    The xbox store is absolutely terrible.

    What's wrong with the Avatar Store?!

    If you're using the Xbox One, you'll get this message if you're on a child account or if you do not have a payment method on file (even for free stuff). If payment method is the issue, you need a credit card or Paypal on file. Your Microsoft account balance
    is not seen as a valid payment option for 360 content or avatar content on a One or xbox.com
