Ethernet wired Xbox One.

Ever since my console had the latest update I have an issue where my console keeps getting signed out of Xbox Live, bearing in mind my console is wired to the router via ethernet. This is very frustrating as I'm in the middle of the game and it signs
me out, I never had any issue like this until the latest update, any help would be appreciated.

It's not about your Internet speed because you are playing the game all on your internal network. You aren't actually downloading or uploading anything it's just travelling from your Xbox through your modem / gateway and to the device you are streaming on.

A wired connection makes a huge difference for it. My Xbox is wired into my network with CAT 5e Ethernet cable. For streaming I have an Ethernet cable that runs to an Ethernet to USB converter that I can plug into my laptop. If you don't have wired connections readily available then a power - line adaptor might be worth a try. That would let you send Ethernet through your home wiring. It's not as reliable as actual Ethernet cable but it's a good sub if your wiring isn't ancient.

This should be obvious but a wired connection is 10x better than Wifi

Been thinking of doing wired but am not sure what is a good 30' ethernet cable. Can anyone recommend one?

Hi! Did you try to perform a hard reset/power cycle?: Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

If this started happening after the latest update, we suggest you perform a Factory Reset on your console while keeping your Games
and Apps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select System.

Select Console info & updates.

Select Reset console.

Make sure you know your email and password as you will be asked to sign back in afterwards.

No, it's a Motorola Surfboard SBG6580. It has the modem and router all in one. I bought it a few years ago. I never had this problem when my Xbox 360 was wired into it. It was kind of the reason I ran ethernet through my house. While the Xbox One is connected
to ethernet you can use the wired computer in the house, but no wifi connected devices. Unplug the Xbox One Ethernet and they all run no problem.

There should not be a problem connecting multiple wired consoles via ethernet if you have the correct settings in your network configuration.

I have one Xbox (Series X) wired via Ethernet. I can play on WiFi with no disconnects but I prefer a wired connection for gaming.
