    I have a gigabit ethernet switch and fibre to the property. I have all cat 7 cables running through the house. I use the switch in my bedroom and I run 2 ethernets off the switch. One goes to my pc and one goes to my xbox series x. On my pc i get the full 900Mbps that i pay for but on the xbox it tops out at 100Mbps.

    Gigabit switch, all cat 7 identical cables. I cannot figure out why.

    Gigabit Internet is intended for a family of four heavy simultaneous users

    Microsoft throttle's downloads depending on their size, server availability, current loads and a myriad of other factors.

    I suggest you try a different times of day for a potential improved speed

    There is no "HDMI 1.4" cable. There's High Speed and Standard Speed with and without Ethernet, and there's Automotive.

    If both are High Speed, there is no functional difference between them.

    Try using an Ethernet cable for your Xbox one to receive optimal download speeds.

    Connect the Ethernet cable to your Xbox from the router as the primary source. You will see a difference in download speed versus wifi cache.
