    Ethernet port

My system's ethernet port seems to be broken. The port and cable work fine in my laptop, but the xbox one does not have a constant stream of data. Data will come through in very small amounts and the NAT says strict after a bit of waiting, but the console
does not have enough or consistent enough of a data stream to connect to the internet. please help.

    :)

    Hi pudding,

Please keep us posted on how that goes and if you're able to try the steps listed by Hassassinade.

    Ethernet port

    Hi KoG uNKnOwN

Sorry you're having issues with your network port. I would still test a second port and network cable if you have one. Also try doing a hard reset. To do this hold the power button down till the console turns off, then turn it back on and test. Also go to
settings, all settings, network, advanced, then alternate MAC address, and select clear to see if that helps.

Thanks for trying. Had already tried a new port and hard reset. Don't have another cable but I can show the cable has no issues. Clearing MAC did not work. Am I out of luck?

I believe that I have solved my problem. I am on a college network and my device was not registered with the network, even though it had been. Still some issues but I think they are on live's side.

If you have anywhere else to try to use the Xbox and test the network adapter I would suggest that. If that doesn't work, try doing a factory reset.
Finally, if that doesn't work then you will likely need to submit a repair on your console
    here.

Are you talking about your 360, your AV receiver, TV, or something else entirely?

Hi, if your Xbox cannot detect the cable and you've tried different cables and different ports on the router and modem then it sounds like your Xbox is faulty, please return to store under warranty or Microsoft
