Ethernet port stopped working?

Up until yesterday I have had a wired connection. No issues. Nothing has seemingly changed and now it does not recognize that I have a cable plugged into my series X.

- I've restarted both Xbox and Modem multiple times.

-I've removed the power cable from both when restarting for approx. 1 min.

-I've disconnected the cable from both sides and tried a known good cable.

-I've reset the xbox (keeping my games and apps) twice now.

-I've tried switching ports on the modem in the event one was bad, to no avail.

-I've tried different IP addresses.

-I've tried turning on wifi (which works, but I want a more stable, wired connection) and turning it back off and trying the cable again, it says it's not plugged in.

-I've tried all the typical step by steps that xbox provides.

-I inspected the ports on both sides and the cable - no pins are bent or anything of that nature.

-I cleaned the contacts on the ends of the cables with some rubbing alcohol.

-I inspected the cable for breaks.

It literally just seems to have stopped working altogether and doesn't recognize that there is a cable. Anything at all you guys might offer would be a helpful.

That's a really odd issue, I can advise you two more things to try, if maybe the issue persists... the next step will be request a repair order for your console:

1. When possible try connecting your Xbox console to a different router to see if that does the trick, or if you have a laptop/PC that supports sharing internet via Ethernet port, you can try it in that way

2. In case you didn't try it, could be nice perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're Xbox One's ethernet port is no longer letting your console get connected to the internet. It does sound like it could be an internal component situation based off of
the troubleshooting and different things you've tried. Here you can review you're Warranty and Repair options:

Getting your Xbox console or Kinect sensor serviced. It may be worth a shot going to your local Microsoft Store are getting in touch with them to see if any options at all are possible.

Hello!

If you've had it for less than a year, it would be under warranty still. If it's no longer under warranty you would have to see if it makes sense to just use it wirelessly, pay for the repair, or purchase a new system.

I am having the same problem with my xbox too. One day i turned it on and the sign in deal keep saying I was off line. I tried different cables and that did not work. I know the line is good because I can plug my laptop in and get the interent. My xbox is
about 2.5 years old. Any ideas? I really want to use my cable because I took the time one weekend and ran the cables to my location where the xbox was.
