  1. Ethernet port messing up

I always had my Xbox wired but a few months ago the Ethernet port stopped reading anything. While that is very annoying to me, the real problem now is for some reason while I'm playing on wifi my Xbox will randomly say that it is wired even though nothing
has been plugged in there for weeks. Very annoying since I play games that require I stay online And when it does this it disconnects me from the wifi and I have to wait until it doesn't say wired anymore. It was also signing me out every time also but redownloading
my profile fixed that. Also it worked fine for weeks after the Ethernet stopped working And it is just now getting worse

    :)

  2. Random Disconnects From Xbox LIVE

Ok so, this is how my cords are set up: ethernet cable running from internet port on router to ethernet port on modem. Then ethernet cable running from internet port on modem to ethernet port on a similar looking black box that says "Comtrend OT-5072T"

AT&T TV pixelated and freezes with Xbox RJ45

This is sounding like a port is messed up somewhere, I would say trying out without going through the console and trying a different router main port. to see if there a Ethernet port issue of losing connection while in use causing this pixelation.

    Can't connect to Xbox Live

Most routers will light up when an ethernet connection is made. If the ethernet port on your xbox is the issue it won't light up on the router. Its not uncommon for a power surge to fry the ethernet port, surprisingly.
