    Ethernet-input broken?

    Hey there,

Last wednesday we have a big thunderstorm here, which struck very near to my home. Since then my telephone died and i couldn't connect to xbox live by ethernet, although my wifi worked fine.

I called my online provider, which gave me a new internetrouter. This fixed my telephone, but my xbox live is still not working. I bought a new wlan ethernet cable, which seem to work fine on my laptop, but still no Xbox live.

Can it be that the lightning broke my ethernet input at my Xbox? My Xbox (arcade) doesnt recognize my cable at all and if i try to test it it just says that i need to insert a cable before testing it. Have you guys any idea if there is a solution for this?

    Thanks in advance

    :)

    Moca Adapter and Xbox One

    Try this:

    Room with cable modem

coax cable from wall to coax input on moca

coax cable from coax output of moca to coax input of Arris

ethernet cable from LAN port of Arris to ethernet port of moca

    Room with Xbox

coax cable from wall to coax input on moca

cap and do not use coax output of moca

ethernet cable from port on Xbox to port on moca

    Power cycle your Arris.

  3. K pad lock on the back of the xbox

yeah I know that... I was talking on the left side of the Ethernet port... looks like a DC power input.... but the XB1 power input is obviously on the far left...
