    Ethernet cord Xbox one S

i have a big problem: i alays play with my normal Xbox by Ethernet cord. I changed it with the new xbox one S but it has a problem with Ethernet cord; it doesn't recognize it and for this reason Xbox support suggested me to change it cause some consoles
had this problem with the Ethernet port. I tried to verify if, by pic with the same cord, it works, and it was good!so I changed my S and the new one has the same problem. Is it possible that i bought another console with ethernet port broken?!

    thank u

    lorenzo

    :)

Try using one Ethernet cord and one wifi cord if not use two Ethernet cords. Also since the modem isn't connected to a computer it could be too Weak to support two xboxes

Hey I think I am having the same problem. But your Rnglish isn't the best so I'm not totally sure the issue is the same. I changed to Xbox One S too and the ethernet cable is not working with minr too. But I checked and realsised that the system update failed.
So I reset my console to factory defaults and redownloaded the update using my phone hotspot. It worked but as soon as my turn my hotspot off the console nlises connection and again says update failed!! So I have to reset to factory again to get connection
to my hotspot again. So the summary is the xbox one s doesnt detect wired connection and also cannot connect wirelessly. Only connects to my phone's hotspot.

I will try changing the ethernet cable whwn Inarrive home. Currently connected (or tried to connect at a hotel). Its not a hotel issue btw as my old xbox had no problem connecting at the hotel.

Well sorry for my English I am Italian.

Anyway I have problem with the Ethernet cable, Xbox doesn't see the cable, it says to attach it, even if it's already into the console. I changed three cables and I've already changed the console to the shopper. Also the second console S doesn't see the
Ethernet cable but wifi works normally.Microsoft support says me that, probably, is a problem with the Ethernet port on the console but it's impossible that I have bought two console S with this same problem!

No no don't be sorry man, I have this exact issue too! Except my Xbox One S console was working at home with a wired connection only hours before I left to travel to the hotel I am at now! I really hope the wired connection works again when I go home on
Wednesday morning. I hope it was only a hotel issue.

By the way try this solution: Reset your console to factory defaults and redownload the update as there may have been an error with it.. This might fix the issue for you. When I checked my update information in the settings it said "Update failed". Let me
know if this works for you because then hopefully it will work when I get home.
