Ethernet cord won't work on Xbox one. (Works with everything else)

I have my Xbox one connected to the Internet in a wired setup but am not getting any internet. These are the results I'm getting right now.

    Current Network Status:

    Wired

    NAT Type: Strict

    Service info is unavailable

Bandwidth usage is staying at 0kb/s - 3kb/s

My internet is working perfectly when I unplug it from my Xbox and plug it into my laptop. When I gave it a speed test my results were extremely good. This leads me to believe that it is a problem on the xbox's end. The only way I have been able to play
online is when I used my phone as a hotspot.

Please for the love of god don't suggest a hard reset. That doesn't work.

    :)

You may want to check the ethernet cord by plugging it into something else. If it works fine with the cord, its an issue with your ethernet port on your xbox.

If it doesn't work, try a different cable and/or port on your router.

I should also state that I'm using a cat 5e Ethernet cable.

If you are connecting straight to your ISP Modem, please understand that you need to restart everytime before doing so. When you start your modem it does a Address Resolution Protocol and make a table to the hardware address of the equipment connected.
(aka an ARP TABLE). ARP tables don't update very well because they cache entries to make up for better connection speeds (otherwise you'd have to ARP request all the time). Restarting the modem, resets the ARP table. The easiest solution to resolve this
is to buy a 4 port switch (not a hub) such as the one found here (www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_4).
Switches are designed to refresh their ARP table at a much faster rate than the modem itself. Please try connecting the XBONE using the CAT5e cable and restarting your ISP Modem and report back.

Why won't the ethernet cord work on Xbox One X?

Hi Harry, my name is Rodrigo. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

I am sorry to hear that.

Have you tested another LAN Cable? It's also a good idea to change the LAN Port on your router.

Please, try clearing your MAC address.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system, then Settings.

In the General tab, select Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address > Clear.

Restart your console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller to open the Power Center.

Select Restart console and then select Restart.

(If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

    Sign in to your console.

It the issue persists, I recommend you submit a repair request, as this multiple errors are not normal.

Please, register your device on this link: https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/warranty-service/register-your-product

Then, fill out the repair form: https://account.microsoft.com/devices/select-device-for-repair

You can check the warranty terms here: https://support.microsoft.com/help/...ce-plans-and-terms-conditions-for-your-device

If your device is out of warranty, you can check the costs here:

    https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/warranty-service/getting-your-product-serviced

    I hope this helps.
