Ethernet Connection Between XBox One & PC Causing Issues..........

Now my issue is trying to make my ethernet connection work between my XBox One & PC, without my PC's wifi constantly disconnecting & reconnecting... My router is in another room, so there's nothing I can do. I created a "shared" connection between my XBox
One & my PC. If I disable the ethernet connection on my computer, the wifi stays active 100%, but as soon as I re-enable the ethernet connection, the wifi on my PC drops, reconnects, drops, etc.... Very annoying......... Can someone help???

    :)

"You must have an active connection to play Xbox Live"

Have you tried running a wired connection to your xbox with an ethernet cord? That would at least be away to see if your having issues of a signal dropping spastically causing issues.

Help getting Windows 10 xbox app to see Xbox One

There's possibly some goofiness going on with your router. You can power cycle it alone, or it and your modem as well to refresh your network. Doing that alone should sort an issue like this out, providing there isn't something deeper at the root of it.

You may already know the procedure, but just in case... To properly power cycle, take the following steps: For added measure turn off your PC.

Press and hold the Nexus button on the Xbox One itself till it shuts down and you may want to temporarily disco all other devices from your network at this time as well as this method will likely clear your network of any possible IP conflicts.

Turn both off your modem and router and disconnect the Ethernet between the modem and router.

Power on the modem, letting it stand alone for at least two minutes. Power on the router, also giving it two minutes to initialize, then connect the Ethernet between the two again.

Once they're synced, turn on your intended 'connected' devices one by one (might want to start with the PC, making sure it has connectivity, then the Xbox).

After assuring they're connected, check your app and see if it sees the Xbox without issue, then (as long as it does) reconnect your other devices to your network.

You ever use TeamViewer? I/We (You and I) could use it to troubleshoot the problem if it remains unresolved after doing all this...

If you plug in an Ethernet cable to your PC, the WiFi connection will stop on your PC because it should only be using the Ethernet connection. The only reason that I can think of for WiFi connecting and dropping is a problem with your Ethernet cable. If
changing the Ethernet cable doesn't work,
    support.xbox.com/.../connect-live-using-pc
try looking at that link to see if it can help you with your shared connection setup. Sorry I can't be of my help.

Xbox One X, streaming to Win10 PC issue

    Hello, Paul,

These lag issues you may be facing could be a result of slow internet/WI-FI connection, in this case I recommend one of these two things listed below:

    1. This option is only useful if your PC is close to you console, this is best used for streaming purposes. Using an Ethernet cable you can plug your Xbox directly into your Laptop or PC, you are to plug one end of you Ethernet cable into your Xbox and the
other into your PC or Laptop, then you are to go to control panel>view network status and tasks>change adapter setting, on there select your Wi-Fi and Xbox connections then right click and click on bride connections.
    2. Make sure you have decently fast internet connections on both your Xbox and PC or Laptop.

Usually this issues is encountered when the PC isn't capable enough of running the tasks or the ping between the two devices is too high, causing lots of lag.

    Thank you for your time

    Best Regards

    Network connection issues

Hey again UnseamedElk, Did you create a bridged connection between the Ethernet port of your PC and the Network Adapter? If not, doing so will fix your issue =) Regards, SamxBroski

Reoccurring Xbox One Loading Dashboard Issues on Start Up

This may sound stupid but have you made sure your Xbox One is connected directly to the wall for power, no surge protector or powerbrick/extensioncord in between ?

Since the Xbox One has a built in surge protector having the above connected in between the outlet and the xbox can cause issues.
