ETA for the Chat Adapter & Dolby Digital update?

I'm not saying your wrong but why would TB itself not release before amazon. My xo7 already paid off and I was informed they would not be available to me until late march. I think they said 20th or 22nd but maybe they tell me that for safety reasons!

Chances are it's just a placeholder date so that people have a rough idea of when they can expect it, or even to fill an empty box when putting the info on the site.

Polk have indeed said "March 7th latest: however, they very recently started listing February 14th on their FAQ page. If Turtle Beach have delayed their release date then it's probably Microsoft's doing. I've heard that the TB headsets are all ready to ship
but awaiting licensing. If I were to take a guess I'd say that Microsoft have forced them to wait a month so that they can gain more revenue from the Polk headsets that they had so much input in.

 

I feel let down by TB,my ghosts headset that came out with ghosts on 360,was guarenteed that they would fully work with xb1 on launch,all the E3 showed them fully working!I feel ripped off having to wait,along side the peeps that have paid off their xo7s
that were meant to arrive on the 1st feb!.

Its not on concidering its all about money and licences between MS and the companys,that we are all waiting,but what can ya do.Remember the ghosts xb1 competion live on 360,they ALL had fully working xo7s.

 

I also have the a40. I'm no audiophile but I think it sounds great as it is already. I can't tell a difference between the sound on the xbox one and the 360 or the PC. I do think it stinks that MS couldn't just take the route of letting all usb headsets
work with their system. then it wouldn't even matter if each company made an adapter or not.

 

Looks like it will arrive in March. Just seen the new Turtle Beach Titanfall headset and inside there is the Xbox one audio

I have found out that Turtlebeach are offering customers that bought their headphones at a certain date can order a free Xbox One chat adapter via this link:

Listed mia. You should have went with a TB TANGO or 500 or 400 which imo are same or if not better quality then xo7. Your selection is a great one but you might have been able to save a buck or two for same quality.

 

That TB free adapter offer is straight baloney. What about anyone who purchased with in the last two or three years who put out over 300 dollars on high end TB headsets. I myself have over 400 dollars spent on headsetS plus another 300 after taxes and shipping
on thw TB TANGOS.

You got two or three years of good

I can see their point to be fair. They expect future support. However, the headset wasn't sold as compatible with the Xbox One (due to it not being announced) and it would cost a tonne of cash to offer a free adaptor for everybody that bought an optical
headset. Bearing in mind that doing so would date all the way back to the X4 which I remember seeing about in 2008/9.

[/quote]You don't actually see the adapter itself. I would like to see the adapter. It is sad how they had to make a box to fit the adapter and also add the Mic on the side. TB had or said they new a year ago of the Xbox One yet they can not make a headset
that had full functionality? Or why did Microsoft not inform them of the new headset features. All this makes me very upset and annoyed!

feel entitled to a free accessory years after buying a headset? TB's "free adapter" program was intended to entice people to buy TB headsets this fall for Xbox One despite there being no adapter. You didn't need to be enticed because you already owned the
headsets.

It's an adapter. As the entire Polk 4 Shot kit costs $160, I doubt the adapter is going to be more than $50. Figure $20-$40.

 

I got tired of waiting and ordered a custom adapter on a popular auction site that rhymes with skeebay. You can send your headset to them and that cuts the price in half to $25. You'll get a chat pad with a 2.5 mm cable that works great.

Indeed you don't, but the fact that it comes in the box with the headphones means it will be shipping at the same time. Of course, they might not sell them on their own straight away :/
