ESO Digital Download - No Patch?

I've read somewhere that if you get the Digi version you don't have to do the patch, because there is obviously no data limit on a digi download... can anybody confirm this?

I'm getting the digi regardless as i've paid for the transfer... but if this is right then that'll be pretty cool

So yes there will be a digital version of the game as well as a pre-download before launch for the digital version of ESO. Also if you have any other questions feel free to ask or we can party chat and you can ask questions there to alright.

Elder Scrolls Online will lock-out people with used or rented copies.

Doesn't matter,i buy digital and i'm not interested in ESO...

I just hope Besthesda won't create a new policy : If you didn't bought ESO,you're not allowed to play any other Bestheda games.

 

I thought it was for everyone but now maybe not. I cannot find a confirmation for this but it seems that the day one patch will be only for disc being the game exceeds a 50GB Blu-ray disc. I already downloaded the pre-order and it took forever long but maybe
that is why (because the 15Gb patch was included). If this is the case I am even more glad I got the digital version so I can get right to playing.

 

The 15 gig patch is for the DISC version of the ESO game. The digital download includes this 15gig patch. Now there may still be a small, opening day patch as there is with most game releases.

 

Can somebody please tell me what this patch is i have pre ordered the tamriel unlimited edition should i be worried??? :S

 

The patching process on console is normal. When the game goes Gold and is ready for the distribution process. Game discs are pressed and packaged.

The game development continues and patches are released, often on a weekly basis for ESO. Those patches are bundled into launch day patch for players who bought the Disc.

But as mentioned, this large patch is more because the Disc can only hold 50gig.

Gtav has 46gb currently kind of a bit shocking seeing 55gb on your hd but 72% of 500gb should of been able that space but it only took like 7% of my hd after unistalling several games till and after when I was able to install completely the hd was at 55%.
So the severs will go live at midnight in each time zone at midnight or xbox's 4:01 am utc. This probably means the patching and launch patterns will try and smooth out the lag of the official launch on consoles rather then crashing all servers at once. Not
half bad Zenisoft! So in short we got a release date but no true release time of day varying between your local time at 12am to 4 am.
