Errors when trying to go to home from games or apps

When I am in a game or app or anything it takes several times pressing the xbox button to go home before it actually works. I keep getting error codes 0x80004005 and 0x87b20c08. I am also having a playback error on hulu. Not sure if the two are related
or not. I have restarted console, unplugged it all before and problem persists whether connected online or not.

anyone notice smarglass laggy.???

well i am notorious for walking by the xb1 controller hitting button and laying in bed... usually i do this once i am in netflix/amazon. well the last few days i tried this from the home screen.

all i can say is the delay/lag is horrible... navigating the home screen to get into a program is very poop.. it may just be a fluke but it also seems to throw off connecting to apps like nfl,netflix. i have gotten many connection errors and boots when trying to login with the smartglass app.. not sure if it is due to router being a home and trying to show 2 connections or what..

once in netflix it is back to normal so i am wondering if it is a xb1/app issue..

fwiw i am on a iphone4s

Error Code 0x87b20c08

This error code keeps coming up when trying to navigate and open apps in Xbox or even when trying to go to the home screen. I've tried restarting Xbox and searching the error code but have found nothing. any ideas?

Are you using the Xbox One or Xbox 360 console?

For the error codes I would recommend pasting the codes into www.xbox.com/errorhelp this will help you find a solution to the errors.

Error 0x80004005 is typically associated with the 360 console and the support page for this error can be found below.

support.xbox.com/.../error-code-lookup

However for Error code 0x87b20c08 I did not find anything.

If you are using the Xbox One, could you tell me if you are a member of the Preview Program?

Just started getting this error today. It only happens when I'm in a game and then try to go to "home" or "my games and apps". Seems like an issue with the dashboard not loading properly.

Sorry, to clarify, I don’t get an error code or anything. When I try to go into my games and apps, my tv screen just goes black. The only way to get out of that is to try the home button

Meanwhile, may I know if the same error appears when you go to “My library” in the Xbox app, and then you try to install the game from there?
