    Error XBOX-4000 with Fallout 3


    Hi,

    I bought a Xbox One with Fallout 4 and a code to download Fallout 3.

    My problem is that when I redeem the code to Download Fallout 3 I receive this error:

    XBOS-4000

    The chat support said that you can help me to solve this problem.
    The Person of the chat Support checked that the code is valid.
    The region of the console is Italy.

    I bought an xbox pack with fallout 3 and 4.

    I got fallout 3 with a code. When I try on a pc I got this error

    That error code suggests a region issue. Please make sure that your account matches the location where you live.

    Hi, I talked with chat support before write here, he said to check the region of my account. It is Italy in paid information and in country settings in the xbox.

    I tried to redeem the code in the console and in the website.

    There is a link in the website to check the region of my account? I checked in my profile settings (in the website ) and it seems ok...

    I saw this web page:
    support.xbox.com/.../change-region

    it explain how to change region but not how to check the current setted region

    While you're on Xbox.com, if you scroll to the bottom do you see the website set to Italy, or is it set to a different region?

    If it's not set to Italy try clicking the region it displays and select the correct region, then try redeeming the code again.

    Error XBOX-4000 with Fallout 3

    Just to try, I registered a new xbox account and I tried to redeem the code with the new account, but I receive always the same error code.

    At this point I think that there is a problem with the Xbox Store, because the chat support said the the code is valid, the xbox account has to be correct (I registered a new account just to check this), the xbox settings are correct (all is set to Italy)...

    What should I do?

    Hi, I have the same problem. I am from Germany and I also got the XBox1 with a Fallout 3 code.

    I contacted Microsoft twice via the chat. They told me to update the XB1,

    what I did but it didn't help. They had no other idea what to do.

    Then I contacted Amazon where I bought the XB1. They also contacted Microsoft

    and told me that Microsoft would sent a new code to me. This didn't happen.

    When I contacted Amazon again, they decided to sent me a new code with

    a new Xbox One console! But the new code isn't working. Not on my old XB1

    and not on the new one!

    How can this be?

    I now have the impression that the codes are not valid anymore and I really

    feel left alone by Microsoft.

    over here, which best fits the issue you're having. Please be sure you're trying to redeem a code meant for your region, as cross region codes aren't supported.

    Update: I talked again with the chat support, this time they told me that a code for xbox 360 had to be redeemed with a Xbox 360 before download the game with a Xbox One.

    I tried with my brother's Xbox 360 but the result was the same, I received the same error (obviously i logged with my account in my brother's Xbox).
