Error with singing into any Microsoft application on Windows 10

I am having a lot of trouble signing into the Xbox app, the Xbox game bar, and the Microsoft store on windows 10.

For the Xbox app and game bar, when I try to sign in it looks like it is loading for a second and then it present me with the heading We couldn’t sign you into Xbox live following the subtext; We can’t sign you in to Xbox Live right now. Try again in a while. If that doesn’t work, we have a few ideas that might help fix the problem. It does not present me with any kind of error code it just has three options: more info, try again, and switch account. More info does not give me more info, clicking try again doesn’t do anything, and trying to switch accounts brings me to a page to switch, but once I click any button on that page it brings me back to the page with the three options.

For the Microsoft store when I try to sign in nothing happens except for a split second of what looks like my computer trying to put a sign in page on my screen but it doesn’t show up.

Not sure if this is helpful but this did happen to me around 9 months ago and I fixed it by watching some random video on YouTube but I was not smart enough to like the video for if the problem happened again in the future.

Sorry for the late response. The update usually looks like it is going to work but it just sits at zero percent for a couple seconds and then says “restarting computer” and it shows that once my computer has restarted.

First go to PC settings and in the Windows update section check for updates, install any pending update, even the optionals

Open Start, type: powershell

Right click PowerShell

Click Run as administrator

At the command prompt, type the following then hit Enter:

Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Exit Powershell then restart.

No luck, I made sure it was copied exactly correctly by pasting it into a google doc from my phone then copying it from my computer. Also, when I tried to install a pending update it said the changes were unable to be completed.
