    Helo,

    i bought a HOME CINÉMA SONY Bdvn7200.

    With my 4k tv there is no problem or my PC, everything is in 5.1.

    But when i play with my xbox with the optical cable, impossible to switch in 5.1.

    The only solution is to put de xbox via the home cinema directly, i have the 5.1 option but i loose de 4k resolution.

    Do you have a solution ?

    Hello,

    Happy new year!

    I would like to get 5.1 sound passthrough HDMI to sony BDP E280 Home cinema but unfortunately i get error 0x80bd0009

    Before updating the Xbox it used to work by forcing the resolution to 1080p, but now it's impossible.

    Would it be possible to make the Xbox recognize the Home cinema directly, as the Xbox controls already volume of the bdp E280 ?

    Thank you for your ideas or solutions.

    Hi Error with home cinema 5.1 :)

    I've got a big issue with my Xbox One. I just bought a home cinema 5.1 with an amplificator Onkyo. When i'm playing Bioshock infinite for example, i've got the sound like a 5.1, Great !

    But, when i'm playing Minecraft or Overwatch, i have not sound comming from behind.

    I tried "Bitstream out" and "5.1 not compressed", it's the same...

    Could you help me please?

    I tried to uninstall games, reset my xbox, etc...

    GG in a car people use amps in a home cinema they use amps a amp ups the sound and makes things 5.1 and 7.1 well a mix amp is a mini amp its what i use to turn my headset up etc

    **SOLVED**

    So turns out you don't need a TV to act as a hub/AR with these Sony HT cinema sound systems. The xbox one will output 5.1 through the optical and the Sony HT-RT4 will pick up and play all the channels correctly.

    Both Bitstreams DTS + Dolby work fine.

    **BE AWARE**

    I was trying to test the 5.1 surround sound on several platforms giving me incorrect results:

    - Youtube DOES NOT PLAY IN 5.1 (5.1 test videos etc...)

    - Plex Media Streaming (Make sure the film/video you are playing is streaming with a 5.1 audio track, NOT AAC Stereo etc..

    To confirm my 5.1 surround sound i used a BlueRay Disc with 5.1 Dolby on the back of the case. I also used Netflix streaming with films streamed in 5.1 audio.

    Hope this helps someone out there!

    Need to Hook X Box One Up to Speakers

    Run a separate Optical cable from the Xbox One to your Home Cinema Amps optical input and select DTS audio from the Xbox Ones setting for audio. You do have a home Cinema amp and surround sound speakers that supports DTS I take it?
