Error while accessing Apps. Tried with Netflix or BBC iPlayer or anything else

Hi,

My XBOX One console was working absolutely fine until 2 days back. I use XBOX only in the evenings and from a couple of days, it gives the error - "Apologies our service isn't working properly at the moment ..."

Seems as if XBox is unable to connect to its servers.

Tried with Network connection testing, and all that is fine. The Internet is fine from my end and around 100Mbps speed.

Restarted console, re-logged in - no change in this.

I am unable to open any app on the XBox and they all return with the same error.

There was an outage on Nov 7th, which resulted in similar error but was fixed in a day or so. This has been 3 days and I still get the same error, while no one else has complained. Confused.

So, how do I fix this?

No error code

Uninstalled Netflix and reinstalled again.

As I was able to reach out to the MS app store, and the advert of Netflix came up fine, and was able to install the Netflix App, I infer that - there was no issue with the hardware or the network.

In summary, the issue is with the XBox Live Service.

Mine is XBox One.

Aside from that, have you tested out deleting and then reinstalling one of those apps?

Hey Django,

I would also recommend what Brad said. A soft factory reset (while keeping games and apps downloaded) will reset the OS and hopefully resolve the issue. Just make sure that you know the log in credentials to your account before hand. The only things that
will be removed from your console would be the profiles.

Hello Django,

When you do a network test do you test multiplayer connection and does it state its all good. Remember also when you connect to Netflix or any other third party app, you are not connecting to Microsoft server but the app server itself. With an outage it
can affect a lot of different things. If you continue to have issues we suggest a

soft factory reset. Where you select keep games and apps. Make sure to have stable internet connection and know the email/password for every profile on the console.
