Error when trying to set Home Xbox.

I tried to set one of my friend's Xbox Live profile to my Home Xbox but it keeps on saying Something went wrong, and it gives me an error code. (0x80bd003e). I searched up the code on the error help site but there was nothing available. How can I fix this?

Hope this helps..If you own the game you are trying to play make sure you set your console as your home Xbox. This will fix the error code above.

- Log in your profile > settings > all settings > personalization > My home xbox

Wont let me set my Home Xbox

I keep trying to set my home xbox, but it just wont let me i keep getting an error code that does not exist. Can anyone explain why?

The home console feature is meant to be used in households with more than one xbox one,not for sharing with your friends which can technically get you banned.

does it give any error codes or messages when you try to set the console as the Home Xbox?

also do you both have a current active Gold subscription on the account that is being used to set the Xbox as the Home Xbox?

What exactly is the error message you get when you try to play on the Xbox One S console?

And to confirm, the home Xbox of the account that has the subscription was set to the Xbox One S?

Even if someone has set their console as home with your account, you should be able to set your own Xbox as home, as console homes can be switched 5 times a year. Do you get any error when you try to. Because you have changed your account password, and
if you set your console as home, other person can not do that again as he can't login.
