Error when trying to redeem 3 month time code.

Ive tried to redeem it both on the console and on xbox.com. On console it recognized that it is a 3month prepaid card but then gives an error saying that it cant accept that form of payment and treats it like a credit card purchase. on xbox.com it alos recognizes

and tells me to put that into a search bar in the support page that ultimately says can not be found.
As I type this my console keeps getting kicked on and off Online repeatedly.

I purchased and have received and redeemed the codes for the games but seem to be getting an error code trying to redeem the 12 Month Live code.

From the looks of things, this account and machine are completely *** up. It's a very old account with maybe over 1000 dollars put into it. I heard updating billing info may help but I have nothing to update to as I tried to remove all payment options because
I do not have a credit card. Trying to redeem a code through the xbox still gives me an error that says that they can not use that payment, treating the prepaid code as a credit card which is just strange and I cant seem to fix that. I am exhausted of support
forums, utterly exhausted. I cant take two steps with a Microsoft product without needing to post in one.

 

So i found that my codes wont work because i have an existing subscription. I remember deleting my payment options because the console and website would not allow me to cancel and I didnt want them to steal more money from me upon unwanted renewal. The site
will still not allow me to cancel and brings up a page saying ive found a glitch in the system. I dont know for sure but the next step may be to wait out the rest of the sub and see what happens. Im still getting this prepaid card refunded in case it expires
before then. Also, I know no one will even see this post. This forum is the worst support ive ever seen. Theres an unanswered post from 2 years ago right next to this one. This is abysmal.

Not because it was unanswered the original author may not have flaged it as answered depending on what the issue is

From the sounds of it you have an billing issue

If you have an suspension for payment options then you need to pay it off before you can reuse your account

Prepaid membership cards will not. Pay off unpaid balances

Also if you recently migrated that wpuld be why

You need to verify your billing address in your new region

You cant get unwanted charges renewaals are normal if you buy an subscription

If youbbuy an subscription youbjust need to follow thebcontract you signed

 

Exsisting subscriptions wont affect the prepaid membership as it can be added upto 3 years

Also if you bought a prepaid card from the wrong region that wont help as they are region locked

Aince this is a billing issue you posted in the wrong forums thats why noones helping you

Fyi billing issues go under account management and billing issues are usually handled best by support as most users cant help you with it
