Error when saving to cloud Fallout 4

I believe this occurs if the game doesn't successfully cloud sync when it exits, thus the error when cloud save is attempted on next game session.

This shouldn't mean any data is lost, - just load the latest local save (which is created anyway) and when you carry on playing, both local and cloud saves should be updated when you next save.

If you use a single Xbox One, there should be no issues. I have 3 in my house (lucky me) and it's only if I move Fallout 4 between consoles will it be unable to load a local save over a cloud save - so I just use the local load until cloud save is successful.

If you play connected to xbox live you game data will automatically be saved to the cloud. Important to note that the cloud is used only to save game data not the game itself.

Example: if you are playing Fallout 4 on your console and save your game and go to another console with Fallout 4 installed you can sign in with your xbox live profile and play from where you left off on the previous console. But you cannot save Fallout
4 the game to the cloud to play on both consoles without installing it onto there hard drives.

There are two types of saves in existence intended for these scenarios. Cloud saved data is, as mentioned, always overwriting other saved data in order to keep the latest version of that save.
Cloud saves are a last resort to not being able to retrieve saves that are stored on the console.

This however does not seem to involve the saves of the game, as it is intending to acknowledge content from within the actual game missing.

In this case, we suggest heading over to the Fallout 4 category on the Bethesda Community website to ask the game forums about this error,
and if they have found any fix in relation to this.

That cannot be the case at all. It's not about Microsoft or any other company buying them. Again, the Microsoft thing just makes it more ridiculous and weird but regardless it makes no sense. ALL Steam games have cloud saves including the ones I just mentioned. So, these games do support cloud saves. Plus, I don't think cloud saves need licenses except if by license you mean cross-saves which I'm not talking about. I just want the bare minimum of cloud saves on the platform of the same company that bought these developers for 7 billion dollars to put their games on their store. If Steam which is a third party in this situation have cloud saves for Fallout 4, the owner of Fallout 4 should have the license for cloud saves too.

The only thing that I can think of is that the game is trying to sync saves to the cloud. Do you have a lot of save files? To put it into perspective, it took me an hour and a half to sync my Fallout 4 when moving to a new Xbox One.
