Error when redeeming Amazon game code on either Xbox One or Xbox.com/redeem

When trying to redeem a code I purchased from Amazon for Red Dead Redemption on Xbox.com I get the following error:

XBOS-3012

d201bc54-646b-4844-891f-ba3f71fbd020

2016/11/17 - 11:13:03 UTC

And when trying to redeem it on my Xbox One I get a message about having the wrong language or region enabled.

I currently live in Poland but I purchased the game off of Amazon US and have my Xbox location set to US. I've purchased several other games this way and had it work. I've also read on Rockstar's website that Red Dead Redemption is not region restricted
so I don't understand what the problem is. I already tried contacting Microsoft support and they couldn't help me out.

I purchased and have received and redeemed the codes for the games but seem to be getting an error code trying to redeem the 12 Month Live code.

Any ideas? It just suggests trying again later.

Hey there,

Are you redeeming the code on your Xbox One console or on Xbox.com? Give both destinations a shot and let us know which specific error code you receive when you try to redeem. Error codes generally look like XBOS-0000 or 0x00000000.

That code is usually related to a region issue. Since your regions do not match that could cause issues. The game itself may not be region locked, but the code could be.

You have a redeem code that not compatible with your payment method.

I had this, certain titles are only available in certain regions.

Try going to the bottom of the redeem page and changing the language to Polish and try again, other wise you may need to go back to Amazon for a refund.

I couldn't buy it either so I bought the game code off of Amazon. And now I can't redeem it on my Xbox One or Xbox.com/redeem. I get errors possibly about region restriction. Which is strange since according to a post on rockstar's website Red Dead doesn't

there are many different ways to redeem a code:

at xbox.com, at your console, at xbox app on windows and xbox app on phone.

Please make sure you try all possible ways to redeem the code.

If none of them works, you might need to contact Amazon.

I have tried all of the available methods to redeem the code, including the ones you listed. The only thing Amazon tells me when I contact them, is to contact Microsoft :/.
