    Error when moving Minecraft account to Microsoft


    So I went through all of the steps listed on here (I already have a Microsoft account, so I used the second tutorial steps), until I got stuck on the "Complete Move" page (step 6). I clicked on the button, it became grey and it did not redirect me to the "Move Complete" page (step 7). Whenever I login into my Mojang account, it still exists and I am able to play Minecraft - which is weird, it should not exist anymore. Additionally, when I login with my Microsoft account, it states that I do not own Minecraft. Whenever I try the steps again from my Mojang account, I get stuck with a simple error message that states something went wrong just after logging into my Microsoft account (step 5).

    I already read the troubleshooting page from Minecraft about this issue and these steps don't help. I've double checked the email address. Anyone has the same problem?

    Greetings BlueGrizzlyBerry,

    It sounds like the migration didn't complete. Specifically, your Mojang account should not exist after the move. I would recommend try clearing your browsers cache and trying again.

    If your using Edge, you can follow these instructions

    1. Open Microsoft Edge, select Menu (3 dots icon on top right corner of the browser) > Settings > Privacy & services.
    2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
    3. Select the Cached images and files check box and then select Clear.
    If you still get the same issue, try opening a support request with Mojang support here. They might be able to help complete the migration.

    Please be informed that there is a Minecraft/Mojang account migration to a Microsoft account. Have you already migrated your Minecraft account to a Microsoft account? If so, your Minecraft account and Microsoft account are linked as one already.

    What just happened when you proceed with it? Are you getting any error message or error code?

    Oh, so what you lost is the Minecraft account? Because when you migrate, you will be using a Microsoft account for that moving forward. But still, an order will not be the basis to recover the account, unfortunately.

    Since my Microsoft account was linked to my Minecraft account I lost access to my Minecraft account cause someone deleted my Microsoft account. Now Im not sure what happens but I was wondering if i would be possible to link a diffrent Microsoft account to an already migrated Minecraft account.

    Unfortunately not. If the Microsoft account that your Minecraft account was migrated to was deleted then your Minecraft would be essentially deleted along with it.
