Error When Launching Game

I am trying to play Sea of Thieves 2023 Edition which I have owned and played on this account for at least a few months but I remember playing it on this account as far back as 1-2 years ago. However, today when I try to launch the game, I encounter an error message which states "Looks like you need to renew Game Pass. If your subscription is current, try quitting and relaunching the game." I haven't even played this game with gamepass so I don't understand why I am getting this error.

I've checked and the game doesn't show (the microtransactions do) but I am 100% certain I have played the game on this account without having game pass.
