    I'm currently on Windows 10 20H2.

    So, with Microsoft's insisting that I try the new launcher for all versions of Minecraft, I downloaded it. It worked well enough, I could launch both Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition and Java Edition from the same launcher, great. Here's where it goes wrong.

    I figured with the new launcher installed, I'd just delete the old one. I went into the "Add or Remove Programs" page in settings, but because both versions of the launcher were right next to each other, I didn't know which was the new version and which was the old, so I figured I'd just delete both, then re-download the new one. Well, I did that, and now I can't download it.

    When I go to the Microsoft Store and click "Install" on the Minecraft Launcher page, absolutely nothing happens. No error, the button doesn't even change, just nothing happens. I went to my library on the Microsoft Store, and it shows that I don't have the new launcher in my library. It does show Minecraft: Java Edition as an option though, saying to download it through the Xbox store. I tried that, and it instantly says "Something went wrong" or downloads the game but can't install it and gives me error code 0x00000001, or code 0x80073d26. I went to the Xbox troubleshooting website and it told me to try installing the latest version of Windows, as of writing this is 21H2. I have attempted to download it, but it gets stuck at 20% installed and will not progress past this.

    As of now I am able to play Minecraft: Windows 10 edition by launching it separately, but I cannot play Java Edition or download the launcher for Java Edition, whether from the Microsoft Store, Xbox Store, or, when I went to Minecraft.net and downloaded the "MinecraftInstaller.exe," from there. When I do that it also gives code 0x80073d26.

    CLiP license id does not match the device in the bound device license

    I don't get an error code accept for "an error occurred on our end" and a manual install also does not work.

    Also is their three packages for the minecraft launcher?

    One that is for both java edition and inecragt for Windows

    The second java edition

    The third minecraft for windows.

    I did eventually get a version to work since the old launcher redirected me to the new launcher which I installed and did let me install minecraft for windows version.

    However the store version which downloads java edition and something else never worked.

    Not by reseting not by uninstalling and reinstalling not by downloading from the minecraft website and manually downloading.

    If the issues are on the Java launcher installer, please, log in the Microsoft store app with the account that made the purchase then look for the Minecraft launcher and install it from there then log in in the launcher with the account that made the purchase on the java section and finally install the java edition

    I would assume you are trying to download on a windows pc.

    You will have to install the minecraft launcher first.

    To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.

    To play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, you will need a device running Windows 10 or 11 to download and install the newest version of the Launcher, within which you can launch and play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

    Just to be clear you're having installation issues with the Minecraft Launcher, not any of the Minecraft Products such as Java edition, Bedrock Edition or Minecraft Dungeons?

    Minecraft will not open via launcher, only through microsoft store.

    The Minecraft launcher you are referring to is only for the Java edition of Minecraft. The Java edition and Windows 10, are two separate games. In order to launch and play Minecraft from the launcher you are using in the last image, you must buy the Java
    edition from the site, not the Windows 10 version. Minecraft Java Edition | Minecraft. Annoying I know, but when Microsoft acquired Minecraft they released
    their own version of the game on their platform. Hope this helps
