Error when installing games through xbox pc app

I recently had issues with my Windows installation and after trying very hard to fix it, I finally just had to do the reinstall without wiping my data.

Because of this, I had to reinstall the xbox app on pc and it lost links to all my installed games. While this sucked, it then also proceeded to wipe my data that was on a secondary hard drive. Most likely I have lost all my saved data at this point for the games. But this is only part of the issue. I now can't seem to install any of my games again. They always error out at the end.

As in this screenshot. The error message is the same and I've included that as well. Restarting my computer doesn't help. Cancelling and trying to reinstall doesn't help. It always ends at the same place and doesn't finish installing. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Go to the windows settings

Applications

Applications and Features

Look for Gaming Services

Click on it

Advanced options

Click repair

- If this solution does not solve the problem, try the alternative below.

Delete the WindowsApps folder, follow the instructions given in the link below, using the 25-step method.

- If the above solution does not solve the problem, try the option below.

Go to This PC, enter the disc where you want to install the games.

Rename the "WindowsApps" folder in "WindowsApps.old" then restart the pc.

If the error occurs again then rename the "WpSystem" folder in "WpSystem.old" and restart again.

same here, I have xbox game pass for my pc, and im trying to install games through the Xbox app but when its finished downloading, it says ''error 0x80070005, i was trying to look online for help and nothing.

You must format the drive that has the issues an set the file system to NTFS

Please try this

In the file explorer go to the disk with the problem and look for a folder named "WpSystem" (If that folder isn't there, then this solution will probably not help you)

(it is located at the same tree level as "Program Files")

Delete or rename the WpSystem folder

If this doesn't work try to change the letter assigned to that disk with the disk manager

You can also try to install on a different drive and then move the games to a different one

To do this, head to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Click an app and click the “Move” button. You'll be prompted to select another drive, and you can then click “Move” to move the app to that drive. If you see a “Modify” button instead of a move button, you've selected a traditional desktop app.

I have checked both these settings in the services and registry and they are set to Manual and 0 by default. Is there anything else I can try?
