Error trying to purchase fortnite battle pass

I've been trying to purchase the battle psss on fortnite but it keeps coming up with error. I've spoken to microsoft who have said the problem is with epic games because its an in game purchase, I've been emailing epic games who told me to contact Microsoft
as that could be where the problem is. Does anybody have any advise on what the issue could be. Thanks

The battle pass you are trying to buy is from inside the game, is that true?

Do you have the necessary V-Bucks on your account already? I'm asking this cause V-Bucks and Save the World pack are the only addons I'm finding through the Microsoft/XBox store.

I've just recieved an email back saying they don't currently accept gift cards, so now i know why it won't work. Not sure when they stopped accepting these as that's how I've always purchased them before.

Battle Pass Gifting Option will only be available until August 15th. So even with the option still showing it will not go through.
