Error trying to download games in the Xbox PC app

So every time I try to download a game it says error. The error code is 0x87e00196. I've tried everything in the recommendations 4 times over, except the only thing I can't do is uninstall and reinstall the gaming services app. I get this error every time:

I'm not very tech savy so I don't really know what else to do.

I only had one Gaming service but they are all set to running.

Sorry to hear about your issue. Let's try some steps that might help. Kindly check if you have any pending updates then make sure all the required services are running to solve Xbox app sync issues on Windows.

Open the Start menu, search Services then open Services. Scroll down the list and find all of the Xbox entries (they are near the bottom).

Gaming Services (There are 2 of them)

Xbox Accessory Management Service

Xbox Live Auth Manager

Xbox Live Game Save

Xbox Live Networking Service

When you find them right-click on them and select Start. If you can see that they are already running you can skip them.

same here, I have xbox game pass for my pc, and im trying to install games through the Xbox app but when its finished downloading, it says ''error 0x80070005, i was trying to look online for help and nothing.

only when i try to download Ark off of xbox app on pc it fail and error code: 0x80070005 and it's only ark.

I try to download the game through my xbox app on my PC and it throws me an error every time. I also preordered the Premium edition. Extremely frustrating-- help needed!
