    ERROR-The current profile is not allowed to play on xbox live.


    I just recently got a xbox one and after setting up my acct I tried to play black opsIII online, but it comes up with ERROR-The current profile is not allowed to play xbox live. Can gold sometimes not carry over from 360? Microsoft gave me a new gamertag,
    but this is all I can think of. I googled the error message and people are saying either im banned or I dont have xbox live gold which isnt the case..

    You are showing silver here. Are you logged in with the same credentials that you sign in to XBOX Live with? You will need to log in to your XBOX One using the same e-mail and password that you used on the 360.

    Update-Ive since reinstalled my xbox acct and purchased 3 months of xbox live gold that I know I already have...and still the same errors. This marks like three hours *** with this and Im almost sure its something incredibly stupid..live support isnt letting
    me submit my ticket from my phone and im really frustrated because I have work really soon!! Any help is appreciated.

    Same credentials and everything! Same email, but it assigned me a different gamertag by default. I got my 12 months gold on the same day as one of my friends and he said his is working fine. Maybe give it some time? Really appreciate it!

    We just had the same problem. . Signed out of WiFi and signed back in.. then it started working... hope everything works out for you
