Error Reedeming Game Code

I always get this error why I try to redeem my game code (from a message sent through my xbox one console after purchasing Just Cause 3 (code is for free download of Just Cause 2)

Have tried for several weeks and it still will not work. It also doesn't show up in results when I use the error help section of the website as instructed by my console.

Hey is anyone getting an error saying " We couldnt find your code " while reedeming the code ?

There is a service alert on the status page about reedeming codes.

 

That's an easy one to fix

Match your account region (not console region) matches your actual region

If you don't live in an xbox live region you can't redeem the codes

Your can fix it here

Under account and change my region

 

Also if your don't have an billing info it can cause that's error even with a matching region

Then important things is to have an matching account region to your actual region

 

My region is set to Canada on my account and console: this is where I live. I have billing info set up with a payment source from my region, so that can't be it.

 

If you are trying to redeem a code for 360, you have to consider that there are games that are region locked. Especially on the 360 console. For this, you must have a billing address on your account that is verified by a credit card. In short, try to add
a Canadian credit card that would verify the address.

You may want to have the code redeemed as well on xbox.com

 

You might want to check commerce.Microsoft.com to see if you have split billing

Also migrating your account would fix any error usually over split regions
