Error redeeming Destiny beta code

In the xbox one store whenever I try to redeem my code it gives me the error

"Something went wrong. Sorry about that. Please try again later"

I know I am entering the code correctly as I have directly checked for correctness multiple times, and the code is definitely a valid code.

I have also already tried hard resetting the console, that has not fixed the problem. Please help.

I purchased and have received and redeemed the codes for the games but seem to be getting an error code trying to redeem the 12 Month Live code.

Bungie says to contact Xbox customer support regarding this problem. A lot of us are having this problem so you are not alone.

 

More than likely the issue lies with how many people are currently downloading the game. Wait a bit and then give it a try again.

Tried everything here too, says "We couldn't find your code, Try again in a while, or contact the code provider for more infomation

Anyone found how to resolve this yet i'm having same problems since yesterday morning (23rd July) and still no fix this morning (24th July)?

How do we actually contact Xbox support directly to resolve?

Actually just got it working! My account didn't currently have gold (had been using gold from an account on the same xbox for multiplayer), so just redeemed a gold card and boom works!! Happy gaming people

 

Thanks you to the poster above me! That was the problem. I can't believe we need Gold to actually enter a code. Even though Gold is totally worth it

 

Just to let everyone know. The FAQ section on the Bungie website says that a gold trial will work to play the Destiny beta on the Xbox One but not the 360.
