Error Redeeming code for "Gears of War" to MS account

Hello,

I am trying to activate the codes which came free with my bundled copy of Gears of War 4, but have had no success yet. On my Xbox One system I am repeatedly told that my region/language does not match my account, yet this happens regardless of whether it
is set up as UK (like my account) or US (where my system/codes are from). I even tried a French-Canadian setup but the problem was the same regardless. Then the Microsoft store would not allow me to register the code either, first it redirected to Xbox.com,
then it gave the exact same error. Attempting to chat with Microsoft support was also unsuccessful, as the boxes for inputting your name (which is mandatory) were greyed out and thus un-usuable.

The error code in question is:

XBOS-3012

Hopefully I can get some help with this issue here, as it is frustrating that my 10 year old hotmail account is apparently blocking me from accessing content I (somewhat) paid for.

Not able to redeem Gears of War 3 code from purchasing Gears of War Ultimate edition

To clarify, are you having issues redeeming your Gears of War 3 code as stated in the title, or are you still in need of Gears of War codes?

If you're having problems redeeming Gears of War 3, please post back the error code you receive so we can look further into the issue.

Export RB1 songs now or later?

The twenty free DLC can be downloaded right away. The code that we get is the one you type directly into XBox Live on the Redeem Code section. (Like the Gears if War 2 map pack). There is no messing around with websites like the US versions.
