Error purchasing Xbox live

Hey,

I recently tried to purchase Xbox live yesterday and found that I had been charged £40 with out getting anything from it, I had tried to purchase it with Paypal and I got the receipt from paypal and then went back to my account to find it was telling me
that I still had Xbox live free. I waited for an hour just in case Paypal was being slow but still nothing was happening. I then had to make my purchase on the Xbox website here. I don't know what Microsoft's rules are on refunds but I would like to be refunded
for this if possible. I still have the receipt from Paypal to confirm that I have actually paid for the Xbox live membership.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated,

What site did you originally try to purchase the membership from? It can take up to 24 hours for the membership to populate your account if it is not purchased from the console.

Check Sign in to your Microsoft account to see what length of membership you have. You can stack up to 36 months of membership on your account. If the other one did go through then you should see
24 months (if you purchased 2 x 1 year memberships).

I had purchased the Xbox live from the Xbox itself on the dashboard it said something like "Go gold" and it allowed me to use my Paypal account, I have checked that site you posted but it only shows that I have 1 year of Xbox live membership. So I don't
know where it has gone.
