Error on main site "xbox.com"

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Apparently, it could be a general problem, other people have already reported this same bug here in the community, soon I believe Microsoft will be releasing a fix for this.

On the third-party site below, you can see that in several regions servers have gone down, but it is not a Microsoft site so the accurate information on it may not be 100% accurate.

- At the moment nothing has been reported on the Xbox Live Status site, however, it is only a matter of time until the site is updated, given the number of people who are having the same problem.

There are a number of possible explanations as to why you're encountering issues updating your account's security settings. Here's the list of the most common causes:

• There were changes made on your account's security information for the past 30 days.
• The two-step verification is turned on.
• The account was temporarily suspended.

Kindly answer the following questions and we'll advise the best approach in resolving this issue:

• Are you referring to updating the login credentials of your Xbox profile or your in-game account?
• Is this the first time you're trying to update your data security settings?
• Are you using the same Microsoft account on the Xbox app and the game?

The main page of the xbox.com site says the new halo is xbox one exclusive, as in not for 360 most likely.

All three options seem to be working for me. What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser? Have you tried clearing all the cache/cookies from your browser, restarting it, and trying again?

I tried to buy both on the xbox.com site and the console - in both cases, I got an error. On the xbox.com site, the error I get is "Your payment instrument could not be authorized. Please contact your provider, or try a different payment option".
