error message 0x8027025a

My Xbox one takes forever to let me get to sign in and then returns the error message. I've tried a hard reset but it still does not work. Is there anything else I can try please?

Sorry - forgot to say the error code. The message box telling me the game had failed to load for unknown reason gave an error code of 0x8027025a

I would suggest to take a look at our support link: 'Error 8027025A occurs when you try to sign
in or start an Xbox One app'.

If that doesn't help try this: press and hold the
Xbox button
on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off.

After the console shuts down, unplug the console completely give it minimum 30 seconds. Once the 30 seconds pass by plug the console back in, turn
it on.

Thanks. I've tried doing all this and nothing works. Its been going on for a couple of days now. Having turned it off completely overnight too.

In this case try the soft factory reset check this link out on
How tot reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One.

Before doing this make you now your account information to sign back in as this step will remove your profile from the Xbox, also make sure to have a secure network connection to finish the step as it does require Internet connection.

Before I try this can i just check something? I know it removes the account but I can put that back on, but I bought a game online which is stored on the box. Restoring to factory settings will erase game data but would I also lose the game and need to buy
it again. As it was bought online I don't have a disk. Sorry if I appear a bit dim, I'm a novice user.

Hey Rolling,

Don't worry about your game. All digital content (games, DLC, virtual currency, etc) is linked to your account, so as long as you can log back in, you will not lose it.

 

This seems to have solved the issue and all game data has survived. Thank you for your help.
