Thanks for reaching out to us today. Sorry to hear about the trouble trying to redeem your Xbox live code. I would like to clarify a few things, are you trying to redeem the code through the Xbox, Xbox App or online? As suggested above by Sir Cool One
Try re-entering the code on your gift card. If you have correctly entered the code, try redeeming the code online at
Redeem Code.

If you receive an error message with an error code when redeeming a prepaid code, go to
Error & status code search to find a solution for your specific error code.

Thanks for the suggestion but the linked page was not able to resolve our issue.

Entering the code manually as well as selecting it in the gift message results in the same error.

If the above doesn't work then let's check the following:

1. Confirm the account balance on your Xbox One by going to the "Settings" menu, selecting "Account" and then "Payment & Billing." Make sure the gift card funds are reflected there.

2. Double-check that the gift card code was entered correctly when redeeming on Xbox One. Typos or errors when entering the code may prevent funds from being correctly applied to your account.
