error keeps popping up evertime i try and go home

when ever im playing a game or in the youtube app on my xbox one and i press the home button on the controller it wont go home then after a few seconds it pops up an something went wrong error and its done this all day and wont stop how do i fix it.

there was no error code, but when i did it ono the website, it said try again, but it keeps saying try again evertime i do,

 

when i press the xbox home button on my controller it does nothing and then error code 0x87b20c08

please help error code 0x87b20c08 keeps popping up when i press my xbox home button (the big middle light up button) on my controller.

 

Try doing a hard reset exactly like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know. Good Luck!!

FWII, I'm having the same issue.. Unfortunately, I did the hard reset without pulling the plug. Upon starting it up it has gotten stuck on the green screen with the Xbox One log and the three dots showing it is working. The lights continue to blink, showing
that it is not locked, but its ben well over 5 minutes.

Is it safe to cut power?

 

Okay, it just went to a black screen. The console and TV are still on, but I am no longer getting a picture.

 

Hi, just let the Xbox sit at the black screen, it can take an hour or more but the Xbox should boot up fine.

 

Feel free to try it. In most instances after 45 minutes or so things kick into action.
