Error joining multiplayer servers

Here is some steps you could try

Sign in here with your account : https://account.xbox.com/settings

Select your gamertag.

Select Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety.

Make sure your "Join Multiplayer games" AND "You can create and join clubs" are set on ALLOW

Once done, select submit. Make sure to sign in and out of your account / game for the settings to take effect.

Only when attempting to join multiplayer servers in Java Edition

Yes. All settings are checked. Xbox settings are also allowed. NAT is good. We even tried creating a new account both me and my friend. Still the error happens. We can join free servers in bedrock but we cannot join multiplayer world created by any one of us.

“Join Multiplayer Games” Settings
If you have your settings set to block joining multiplayer games, you can’t join any multiplayer games in Minecraft, including shared local worlds, Realms or servers. To enable multiplayer in Minecraft, make sure this setting is set to ‘Allow.’

However, just like ASCllnaut, that setting was already turned on for my children. In other words I'm in the same boat, we can play on the LAN but not on a realm.

It seems to be only EA servers. I can join dice servers, but when i try to join EA servers, i get an error message.
