    Error Every Time I try to Play Backwards Compatible Game


    Hi,

    I've tried to replace both disks, and I keep getting error codes when I try to use my backward compatible games. When trying to open Black Ops 1, I received the error code 0x80040153. I hard reset my Xbox and tried again and it didn't work. Please help me
    fix this as I paid in full for these games (Halo Reach, Black Ops 1, Black Ops 2), and got error codes for all of them that do not have previous answers on this forum, and I cannot play the products I own.

    Left 4 Dead 2 not compatible with xbox one?

    So I just got Left 4 Dead 2 today for my xbox one and every time I try and launch it, it says it is not backwards compatible and that I should check out the list of backwards compatible games. Any help?

    On every version Xbox ONE you can play Xbox Backward compatibility games. No exceptions! All games that are backward compatible are playable.

    Hello Ramswellszone,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand you are trying to play a game. Which device are you trying to play the title on? If you are on an Xbox one the game is not backward compatible. Here

    is a list     of all backward compatible titles. Currently there is no way of asking for titles as they put backward compatibility on hold as they are working on The Scarlett.

    If you are on the Xbox 360, not sure why you would be getting the message. Can you please provide the complete error message.
