error entering activation code

Good day! The xbox live gold subscription to the xbox 360 console is not activated. It gives an error: the entered code is not valid.

Regarding pre-paid codes, there is a distinct difference between activated codes and redeemed codes. You will need to verify whether or not the source for these codes is reliable. If you are still getting error messages when attempting to enter and redeem
the codes, you will need to contact over the phone to determine whether the codes are activated or redeemed.

The error message says “This code isnt valid. Please enter a valid code”. Every seems to think the same thing, the the store forgot to activate it, so it sounds like thats probably the problem.

Sometimes it goes through while saying there was an error.

When you enter the code do you get a random error code or an error message? Do NOT share the code here, please.

I had this same problem and I was able to enter the activation code by doing the following:

1. Click on the '+' to the right of the 'Keyword Search' box on the 'Manage Xbox One consoles' (devices management) page
2. There should be two options available, one of which is 'enter activation code'
3. Click on 'enter activation code' and a pop up box should appear
4. Enter the activation code from the Xbox and click on 'submit'
5. your Xbox should now have been activated

The above worked for me. Hopefully, it will work for you too.
