Error downloading a game from the Marketplace.

I pre ordered NBA 2k16 and today my friend told me his started to download, and when I went to see if mine was downloading it said it was queued but nothing else was in the download queue, so I went in to the options and selected 'install now' and when
I did it said installing for a split second and then it said queued again. After around 5 minutes a notification appeared saying 'installation stopped' and I can't get past this point. I've tried 4 times.

Sorry to hear it. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps. If it does not then please delete the game from your queue and then reinstall it.

 

I've tried both of those and it's till happening. I have terrible internet so I need to start downloading a few days before it actually comes out

 

Can you run a test at www.speedtest.net and post the results here? (Ping, Up and Down)

 

Ping is 62ms, download is 3.16mbps, and upload is 0.34mbps. I've never had this issue before if that helps.

The ping is a little on the high side and you're net is very slow. That's most likely the issue.

 

But I've never had this issue before and my internet is high compared to what it usually is. I've downloaded every game on my Xbox which is around 250gb total so something else has to be wrong.

 

You got lucky. You should definitely look into getting faster service.

 

I got lucky with every download I've ever had, which is around 20, or if I include 360 games it's around 50 games I've downloaded. Having slow internet speed doesn't mean it just doesn't function. Thanks.

Ok, running the speedtest on your pc was the start. The results show that you're at the bare minimum for Xbox Live. Now, follow the steps at the link below to see what speeds your console is giving you. I'm thinking they might be slower there.

The problem fixed its self. I found out that there were a lot of people having this issue with this game and I figured it was an error on 2Ks part and today it resolved it's self
