Error connecting to new wifi

Discus and support Error connecting to new wifi in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I moved into college and tried to connect to my schools wifi, my Xbox said my security protocol won't work.     I moved into college and tried to connect to my schools wifi, my Xbox said my security protocol won't work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    We have a new modem with no more router. Now my xbox is not connecting to the wifi. I have this error code but looking it up it does not exist

    wifi issues

    So recently my xbox one has not been able to connect to my wifi network. It has before in the past and one day up and stopped working. I've called xbox customer support and went through troubleshoot steps with them but so far they have not helped. The wifi network shows up but whenever i try to test the network connection i get an error message that says 'cannot get an IP address'. I tried a wired connection and that works but i am not able to keep it wired all the time. If anyone might have a solution please help!

    Maybe its your schools wifi that is restricting your xbox to connect

    Hi!

    It depends on the network infrastructure in the school. This is not a home network, but limited to use. It may have locked ports or certain restrictions. You will not even be able to change the router settings because you can not access it.

    You can ask for a favor at the school's IT manager...

    Hi, I'm new to this, but have you tried when on different wifi's or on your mobile data network? I ask because when I'm at work on my company's WiFi I get this error (I assume because connectivity is blocked to the Xbox music service so when my phone tries
    to connect it can't & throws the error) but as soon as I'm not on the company WiFi, no more errors & I can listen to music again. Hope that helps
