error connecting to call of duty mw3 servers

call of duty DOES use servers, just not dedicated servers. why do you think it says "the call of duty servers are unavailable at this time. please try later" error message. the gamer connects to xbox live, then to a secondary connection namely the call of
duty servers, then its peer 2 peer.

I really couldn't tell you what the 'defcon' on the MW3 site means. But what I can tell you is that non of the Call of Duty games run on dedicated servers. The servers for MW3 are just for matchmaking and storing stats, the games themselves do not run
on the servers, there are no dedicated servers. The system is p2p. If you have lag it's either your connection or the people you are connecting to.

its nothing to do with your internet its the call of duty mw3 server having problems it has been like this for past 2 days i myself tonight could not get onto multiplayer on mw3 or onto cod elite but every other game i own i could play online fine.

also 9 other friends could not get onto mw3 and got the same message error server not available at this time.yet all their other online games work fine and other friends from same country as me could get online on mw3 no bother but lots of host changes and
connections lost.

its not your internet or connection its just the mw3 server going wonky and should be back to normal soon.

None of our Call of Duty games connect to xbox live. We are able to sign in on the xbox and load the game and play on local play which is glitchy. We get an error message that says the Call of Duty server unavailable. And to check the Call of Duty website.

Cant get on MW3 live right now, tells me the MW3 servers are down, and the call of duty website says everything is OK, "Defcon 5".
