Error code 0x8B050038 0x00000000 0x90090005

Trying to update an xbox that hasnt been used for over a year and it just gives the following error msg

, I have looked on the error code list but it's not there

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

In this case, please perform an extended power cycle and reset your network hardware as it is an issue with the connection.

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

I can tell it to restart and it does the same thing green then black nothing else

I apologize for the trouble and you're very welcome. Can you please press and hold the Xbox button on your controller and let me know if you can see the options "turn off console, turn off controller, restart console"?
